Product Overview
Rockwool Sandwich Panel is a three-layer insulated building panel with two steel facings bonded to a rock-wool mineral core. The finished metal surfaces and insulation are assembled as one component at the factory.
It is used for factory and warehouse walls, industrial roofs, cleanroom enclosures, cold-area partitions, portable buildings, prefabricated structures, and other projects where insulated metal panels are fixed to a supporting frame.
Key Advantages
Three-Layer Sandwich Action
The bonded mineral-wool core separates the two steel skins, giving the panel greater out-of-plane stiffness than a single metal sheet. Between supporting girts or purlins, the skins stay separated and the core fills the insulated section while helping the wall or roof face remain flat.
Mineral-Wool Core in Fire-Conscious Assemblies
Rock wool is an inorganic mineral insulation widely used in non-combustible panel systems. Where factories, plant rooms, or compartment partitions restrict combustible insulation, the mineral core is an alternative to plastic-foam cores inside the sandwich panel.
Single-Component Wall or Roof Layer
The interior face, insulation core, and exterior face are assembled before delivery. For repeated warehouse, prefabricated-building, and industrial envelope work, one installed panel replaces several separately handled layers and leaves fewer field interfaces to align during erection.

Customization
Panel Geometry
Thickness: 50, 75, 100, 120, 150, or 200 mm; effective width: 950 or 1150 mm; made-to-order length: up to 12,000 mm.
Steel Facing
Steel sheet thickness can be specified from 0.2 to 1.0 mm, with 0.5 mm and 0.6 mm commonly selected.
Color, Model, and Drawings
Different colors or panel models can be included in the same project schedule. Fabrication can follow supplied technical drawings or prototypes.
Quality Control
- Rock wool and steel coils are checked before release to production for identification, core condition, face-sheet thickness, and visible damage. Panel manufacture and dimensional control are carried out in accordance with GB/T 23932. Inspection documentation and nonconformance control are organized in accordance with ISO 9001.
- Inspectors check core placement, steel-face alignment, bond continuity, edge and joint geometry, and overall flatness during forming and lamination. The joint profile is checked before the panel leaves the line so incomplete forming or edge damage can be separated before packing.
- Final testing covers thickness, width, length, flatness, face-to-core adhesion, and joint dimensions. Fire-related material documentation and project-specific performance tests can be reviewed for specified configurations. Every panel receives a final visual inspection before packaging, and third-party inspection is accepted.
FAQ
Q: What is the MOQ for Rockwool Sandwich Panel?
A: The MOQ is 200 m².
Q: What is the production lead time?
A: Standard products take 3-7 days; made-to-order products take 7-15 days.
Q: Can Rockwool Sandwich Panels be used as the primary building frame?
A: No. They are enclosure or partition panels and should be fixed to a designed support frame unless the project engineering specifically rates the panel for another structural function.
Q: What should be checked at the side joint during installation?
A: Confirm full joint engagement and continuous project-specified sealant before final fastening of the adjoining panel.
