Product Overview
Rockwool Panel Insulation is a factory-made metal panel with a rock-wool core enclosed by steel facings. It arrives as a finished insulation component, rather than as loose mineral wool that has to be installed separately on site.
It is used in factory and warehouse walls, insulated roofs, internal partitions, cold-area separations, modular buildings, and equipment rooms where the insulation needs to be part of a metal panel system.
Key Advantages
Composite Steel-Skin/Core Construction
The two metal facings are bonded to the rock-wool layer and work together between the supports. During lifting, fixing, and normal service between girts or purlins, the skins spread localized handling and fastening loads while the core keeps the insulated section in place.
Mineral Core for Fire-Sensitive Zones
Rock wool is an inorganic mineral insulation used in non-combustible construction solutions. In plant rooms, equipment areas, and fire-conscious internal partitions, it avoids placing a foamed plastic insulation layer at the center of the panel.
Factory-Finished Insulated Surface
The insulation and both metal skins arrive as one component. On wall and roof installations, crews can fix the preassembled panel instead of handling a liner sheet, insulation layer, and outer sheet separately, which reduces the number of field interfaces that need alignment.

Quality Control
- Metal coils and rock-wool core material are checked on receipt for identification, sheet thickness, surface condition, and core consistency. Panel dimensions and construction controls are set in accordance with GB/T 23932. Production records, inspection routing, and nonconformance handling are managed in accordance with ISO 9001.
- Production checks cover core placement, steel-facing alignment, bond continuity, edge shape, and panel flatness. Before final finishing, inspectors confirm that the skins remain aligned and that the rock-wool core is fully enclosed.
- Finished panels are checked for dimensional accuracy, surface flatness, facing-to-core bond integrity, and visible edge defects. Thermal-performance verification can be included for specified batches. Each panel is inspected before packaging, and third-party inspection is accepted when it is part of the order requirements.
FAQ
Q: Can you provide a sample of Rockwool Panel Insulation?
A: Samples are available for selected products; freight is charged separately.
Q: What is the MOQ for Rockwool Panel Insulation?
A: The MOQ is 200 m².
Q: Can Rockwool Panel Insulation be used on roofs?
A: Yes, when the panel profile, roof slope, support spacing, fastening pattern, and joint sealing are specified for the roof design.
Q: How should pipe or duct penetrations through the panel be finished?
A: Frame the opening, close the exposed rock-wool core, and seal the penetration perimeter so the wall or roof barrier remains continuous.
