The specified rock-wool core density is 50-80 kg/m³. In partitions exposed to machinery noise, speech, or equipment-room sound, the denser fiber structure increases airflow resistance through the core and reduces direct airborne sound transmission through the insulated section.

Mineral-Fiber Damping of Airborne Noise

Rock wool absorbs part of the acoustic energy that enters its fiber network instead of reflecting all of it back into the assembly. In metal partitions and equipment enclosures with hard surfaces, this adds damping inside the panel cavity and reduces resonance.

Protected Acoustic Core

Quality Control

 

  • Rock-wool core material and steel facings are checked before production for material identity, core density, sheet thickness, and visible surface defects. Panel construction and dimensions are controlled in accordance with GB/T 23932. Production documentation and inspection handling are managed in accordance with ISO 9001.
  • In-process checks cover core-density consistency, uniform filling, bond continuity, edge geometry, and face alignment. Crushed core, open internal voids, or incomplete bonding are grounds for removal before final inspection.
  • Finished panels are tested for dimensions, flatness, bond integrity, and core density. Acoustic samples can be tested for the sound-insulation behavior of a specified configuration. A 100% final visual inspection is completed before packaging, and independent third-party inspection is accepted when required.
