Product Overview
Magnesium Rockwool Composite Panel is a factory-made sandwich panel with magnesium-board faces and a rockwool insulation core. It is used for modular partitions, equipment rooms, industrial interiors and cleanroom wall or ceiling packages where a mineral-board surface and mineral-fiber insulation are needed in the same panel module.
Key Advantages
6 mm Magnesium Faces + 100 kg/m³ Rockwool Core
The panel uses dense 6 mm magnesium board on both faces with a 100 kg/m³ rockwool core inside. In corridor walls, equipment-room partitions and modular room panels, the board skins take local impact and fixing loads while the fibrous core forms the insulated separation between them. This gives the finished face more support than a construction that relies only on a thin metal skin.
0.045 W/m·K Thermal Conductivity
The rockwool core is listed with thermal conductivity of 0.045 W/m·K. In partitions between conditioned and less-conditioned areas, equipment rooms or modular spaces with different operating temperatures, it reduces conductive heat transfer through the panel. Because the insulation is already inside the factory-made module, no separate insulation layer is needed within the finished partition.
3-Hour Fire Resistance at 100 mm
The current product is listed with 3-hour fire resistance at a 100 mm panel thickness. In fire-compartment walls, plant-room enclosures and other separation zones, this gives the project a stated fire-resistance point for detailing joints, perimeter connections and service penetrations. The 100 mm configuration can be selected where the fire strategy calls for extended separation.

Customization
Panel Width & Length
Cleanroom and modular-panel projects commonly use 980 or 1180 mm widths. Cut length can be set to suit wall height, ceiling grid, room module and transport constraints.
Facing Finish
Magnesium faces can be prepared for paint, wallcovering or other compatible finishes to match the project finish schedule and room-use requirements.
Factory Openings
Approved drawings can be used to produce factory cut-outs, notches and framed openings for doors, windows, cable routes and service penetrations.
Quality Control
- Production checks for the magnesium-board facings are arranged according to AC386. Rockwool placement, bonding conditions and composite assembly dimensions are checked against the approved project specification, while face boards, core material and bonding inputs are identified by lot before assembly.
- Quality checkpoints are arranged according to ISO 9001 for component receipt, panel assembly, bonding or pressing, curing, cutting, inspection and packing. Production records link each finished lot to its facing batch, rockwool batch and assembly date.
- Finished-panel testing covers face-to-core bonding, overall flatness and squareness, and surface or edge defects. The pre-packing inspection covers 100% of panels, and third-party inspection can be arranged before shipment.
FAQ
Q: What is the production lead time?
A: Standard configurations are typically 3–7 days; custom configurations are typically 7–15 days.
Q: How are Magnesium Rockwool Composite Panels packed?
A: Panels are fully wrapped with PE film and protected with L-shaped cardboard or plastic corner guards.
Q: How should cut panel ends be handled after field modification?
A: Close exposed core areas with the specified trim or seal system before the panel is put into service.
Q: How should Magnesium Rockwool Composite Panels be lifted?
A: Lift with full edge support and avoid point loading that can damage the magnesium faces.
